Two Leslie County inmates walk away from work release

LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police have confirmed that two inmates from the Leslie County Detention Center have escaped from work release.

Officials with the Leslie County Sheriff's Department say Taylor Brewer and Adam Warner were both on work release in Greasy Creek when they walked away around 11:30am this morning. They say two jailers were there with Brewer and Warner when they disappeared.

Warner was being held on charges of Burglary and Criminal Mischief. Taylor was being held on charges stemming from a Parole Violation.

Both Warner and Brewer are from Knott County and officials believe they may be heading that way, but are searching all of the area around Greasy Creek.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call the Leslie County Sheriff's Department at 606-672-2200
