SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - February 4th, a day that brings heavy emotions for those close to Sue Jones.

"I can't forgive the person that's done this because they had no right," said Gail Jones, daughter of Sue Jones, while fighting back tears.

It was on this day, in 2010, that Jones, a retired bus driver in Scott County, was found murdered in her home. In the three years that have passed, the family is no closer to having answers.

"I need somebody to tell something. I can't go on like this anymore," pleaded the victim's daughter.

"It just eats this family up and they deserve closure," said another woman in the crowd gathered at the vigil.

"I miss her," stated Ed Courtney, a friend of Jones', who also said, "I hate to see her murdered and nobody pays. Why is that?"

While solutions escape the family, memories are all they have to hold onto.

"She was loud, her clothes were loud, her makeup was bright, and her cackle was absolutely contagious," described Bobbi Craig, Gail Jones's daughter.

"I thank God for every moment I got to spend with my mom," reflected Gail.

Monday night, the family not only hoped to raise their voices for justice, but their prayers for healing and comfort. Over the years the family raised money for a reward and have made continuous pleas for tips, but still the case remains unsolved.

"You can shed tears because she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back, or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left," cited Craig from a poem.

Keeping Jones's memory and the hope of solving this mystery alive.
