WKYT earned top awards Saturday night at the Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards at the Belterra Casino Resort in southern Indiana.

Reporter Sean Moody and photographer John Wilson won an Emmy in the military news category for their story "Bringing Bowe Home."

The story was about Afghanistan prisoner of war Bowe Bergdahl and a group of Veterans and former POW's who gathered in the state capital to bring attention to his cause.

John Nally, Kellen Dargle and Jon Cooper also won an emmy for their program promo "WKYT: Official UK Station" which promoted WKYT's coverage of University of Kentucky athletics.

This is the fourth year in a row Dargle and Nally have won Emmys for their work and the second year Wilson has won.

In the Ohio Valley chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, WKYT competes against television stations in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia.
