CYBERSPACE (AP) - The world's largest retailer is stepping up its game when it comes to helping people compare prices. Wal-Mart is expanding an online tool that checks prices on thousands of products.
The Savings Catcher service had been available in only seven markets before - but is now being expanded to cities nationwide. The service is being phased in over the next few months.
Wal-Mart also plans to offer more products in the price search. If the tool finds a lower price elsewhere, it refunds the difference to shoppers in the form of a store credit.
