Wind storm sends trees, limbs flying

Updated: Fri 11:48 PM, Jun 29, 2012

Many people spent Friday night clearing trees that fell in yards and across roads.

As if having a tree fall on your car wasn't enough, try having it crush your second one!

Yara San Gabriel was inside her home when the storm came through Lexington. When the winds picked up, they took the tree with them.

"Because it was kinda a little bit of windy it started moving from one side to another side," explained San Gabriel, "it was too late. The tree was already on top of the cars."

Nobody was injured in San Gabriel's neighborhood, Imperial Mobile Home Estates.

"The good thing is that nobody was in that car. But what about if I was driving through and I was with my kids, and my kids are always in the back. And what about if the tree just fell on the back of my kids?"
