Police find drugs in home, woman charged with child endangerment

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - On Tuesday night, police charged a woman they say put a child in danger by having meth and marijuana around a home.

The Laurel County sheriff's office arrested 27-year-old Janice Middleton Tuesday at her home on Gross Road, near London.

Deputies say they found three buckets with marijuana sprouts in the home, along with a meth pipe. Marijuana was also found growing in the flower garden, and they say they found a meth lab in the back yard. Police say the child was found playing just 10 feet away from where the meth lab was found.

Middleton faces multiple drug charges, including a child endangerment charge. Social services removed the child from the home.
