LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The two men running for Kentucky's top law enforcement post highlighted their differences for voters.
Republican Stan Lee and Democrat Jack Conway met last night in a debate televised statewide by Kentucky Educational Television.
They stressed their philosophical differences on topics ranging from business regulation to the state's bulging prison population.
Lee said voters have a clear difference. He called Conway an ultraliberal and stressed his own conservative credentials. He also pointed out his opposition to abortion rights and his support for businesses.
Meanwhile, Conway said he supported issues that were not exclusively Democratic or Republican but (quote) "common sense."
