Richie Farmer's divorce trial set for after Election Day

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Richie Farmer, the running mate to
Republican gubernatorial candidate David Williams, won't have to be
in divorce court until after the general election.
Attorneys exchanged barbs Tuesday about whether Farmer, a former University of Kentucky basketball star who has served two terms as state agriculture commissioner, has been trying to delay a trial in his divorce case for political reasons.
Farmer's wife, Rebecca, took the unusual step of filing for
divorce in the midst of Kentucky's gubernatorial election. She
hasn't said why she wants a divorce.
Judge Squire Williams set the case for trial on Nov. 22.
Richie Farmer is running with Williams to challenge Democratic
Gov. Steve Beshear and his running mate, former Louisville Mayor
Jerry Abramson, in the Nov. 8 election.

He doesn't want his personal life to be shown during election. It is going to happen weather he wants it to or not.

Like a lot of divorces the combatants seek to do as much damage to each other as possible. On down the line after the rage is gone the damage has been dealt and the sad reflection of what you did comes back to haunt.

I do not care about a divorce...what buzzes me is his not paying (taxes) on the state vehicle he drove/drives. See if the average tax payer can pull that off. I assume he will pay but he had to be caught before he will do/has done that. That is usually called theft isn't it?

Who cares about his divorce. he won't be the first to get one and won't be the last. Divorce shouldn't have anything to do with elections

Of course he is going to wait till after the election. He does not want the truth to come out that he got his Mistress pregnate. That information would hurt his election chances.

Isn't not odd that his Judge has a last name of Williams! Wonder if he is a relative of David Williams? Either way, two losses for Farmer in one week will maybe cause him to search for a real JOB!
