Ethics compliant against David Williams dismissed

A sharply divided Kentucky Legislative Ethics Panel has dismissed a complaint against Republican candidate for governor David Williams.

The complaint claimed Williams violated ethics rules by not reporting gambling earnings as income.

Williams praised the panel for discharging what he called a politically motivated complaint.

The Democratic party called it a "shameful decision."
