FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Lawyers for Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer and his wife, Rebecca Farmer, have told a Kentucky newspaper that the high-profile divorce case is nearly settled.
Frankfort attorney Richard Guarnieri, representing Richie Farmer, told The Courier-Journal all that's left is for the judge to sign off on the settlement (http://cjky.it/tL7hlu).
Brian Logan, the lawyer for Rebecca Farmer, told the newspaper his client is happy with the settlement, the details of which haven't been disclosed.
Rebecca Farmer filed suit in Franklin Circuit Court in April to dissolve her 13-year marriage to Richie Farmer who, at the time, was running for lieutenant governor on a ticket with Republican state Senate President David Williams.
They lost the race to Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear and Lt. Gov. Jerry Abramson.
