Lawmakers Resume Budget Negotiations

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - House and Senate lawmakers have resumed
budget talks at the Capitol and are reviewing the differences
between their proposals.

House lawmakers are pushing to raise some taxes to increase
state revenue. Senate negotiators say they're opposed to tax
increases.

Lawmakers are trying to figure out how to run state government
over the next two years in the face of a projected revenue
shortfall of nearly $900 million.
