FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear and some 50 Kentucky business leaders will travel to Canada next week on a trade mission.
The itinerary includes stops in Montreal and Toronto.
Beshear announced the trip on Friday, saying it is intended to increase commerce between Kentucky and Canada.
Kentucky already has strong business ties to Canada with an estimated $11 billion in bilateral trade. Canada imported some $7.3 billion in Kentucky products and services in 2012.
Overall, Kentucky's exports in 2012 totaled $22 billion to 199 foreign countries, setting an all-time record.
