Conway defends message on latest ad in Senate race

Just two weeks remain until Election Day, and the U.S. Senate race is heating up.

Controversy over an ad Democrat Jack Conway has on the air right now has gotten a lot of national attention.

Rand Paul says it questions his religion.

Early Tuesday morning, Conway appeared on the "Today" show defending the ad.

He had the same message at an appearance in Lexington later in the morning.

Conway appeared at the American Legion Post 201 on Man o'War Place.

Paul says Conway's latest ad is too personal. He was also angry his religion and his rumored past were brought up during a debate in Louisville Sunday night.

Monday, Paul told reporters he may not take part in the last scheduled debate with Conway, set for next Monday at KET studios in Lexington.
