With a little more than a month to go before the election, only two of the candidates running for governor are set to take part in a forum Monday night.

KET says the incumbent, Gov. Steve Beshear, was invited to participate in the discussion, but his staff has said he won't be participating.

So, republican candidate David Williams and independent Gatewood Galbraith are set to appear in Monday's forum, which is set to focus on education.

Governor Beshear is scheduled to take part in two debates: one at EKU on Oct. 11, the other at KET on Halloween.
