A good way to see just how keyed in the country is to the race for US Senate in Kentucky is to see where the two candidates are getting their money.
Jack Conway has raised the most money in the race. More than $2.1 million has come from in-state donors. Conversely, Rand Paul has gotten most of his support from out of state.
The top metro areas donating to Paul Include Louisville, Lexington and the Cincinnati area, as well as Dallas and Houston, Texas, where his father, Ron Paul, has been a congressman for some time.
Jack Conway also draws a lot of support from Louisville, Lexington and Cincinnati but he has also gotten support out of democratic strongholds, New York and Washington, DC.
