FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Republican congressional candidate Thomas Massie has receive an endorsement from the National Right to Life Committee, an anti-abortion group.
Massie said in a statement Wednesday that he's proud to have gotten the endorsement, which carries weight in Kentucky's conservative 4th District.
The group based the endorsement on Massie's pledge to support legislation restricting abortions and to oppose federal funding to pay for abortions.
Massie, former Lewis County judge-executive, faces Democrat Bill Adkins, a northern Kentucky attorney, in the race to replace former U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis who resigned earlier this year to spend more time with his family.
