FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The wife of Republican lieutenant governor
candidate Richie Farmer is asking for primary custody of their
three children in a pending divorce case that she wants her husband
to pay for.
Rebecca Farmer filed for divorce last week in the midst of a GOP
gubernatorial primary battle that involves her husband as running
mate to state Senate President David Williams.
Rebecca Farmer asked in a court document that her husband pay
for the divorce because she said he has limited her access to the
family's finances.
Franklin County Family Court Judge Squire Williams III said
Tuesday he will soon schedule an initial hearing in the case.
Rebecca Farmer's attorney, Brian Logan, told the judge Tuesday
that he isn't sure whether Richie Farmer has been served divorce
papers yet.
