Senate candidates staying busy on the campaign trail

With just five more days to go before Election Day, the candidates for U.S. Senate are busy holding campaign events around Kentucky.

Republican Rand Paul begins his day with a lunch stop in Glasgow.

He'll then stop in Columbia and Russell Springs, before holding an event at the Honey Baked Ham on South Highway 27 in Somerset at 5 p.m.

Paul will finish the day with an event in Albany.

Meanwhile, Democrat Jack Conway is spending the day in central Kentucky.

He held an event in Shelbyville Thursday morning. He's planning to have lunch at Sawyers on West Main Street in Lexington at noon.

Conway is also scheduled to attend an event in Nicholasville, before attending a rally in Frankfort at 4:30 p.m.

27 NEWSFIRST is following both candidates today. We'll have complete campaign coverage throughout the day.
