Senator Paul to appear before KY lawmakers

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul is scheduled to appear before Kentucky lawmakers late next month in support of a state resolution calling for a constitutional convention to force the federal government to balance its budget.

Lourdes Baez-Schrader, spokeswoman for Republican state Senate President David Williams, made that announcement Thursday in a statement. Williams, who is running for governor, intends to sponsor the
resolution calling for a constitutional convention.

Paul won a seat in the U.S. Senate last November in part by promising to push for a balanced federal budget. He will testify on Feb. 22 before the Senate State and Local Government Committee and later the same day will speak to the full Senate.

I think that a lot of children will go hungry if this law is passed and so will many of the elderely. This man is absurd to even consider such a law as this. But with all the money he we pay him, his kids won't go hungry.I thinkthat all the politicians should get paid mininium wage the same the working class does. Then maybe the defecit would stand a chance.and quit paying politicians that have comitted crimes to keep on getting a paycheck for it.

cutting food stamps;why not cut all goverment jobs to no more than 50,000/year. give them the same raises as social security gets so most people would know the feelings/stress of the average working person. start cutting at the top instead of cutting the poor first

United States Constitution,Yous ee the United States is a Place , its has a Constitution, it dont say the Constitution of mexico, or China, We need to remember we still have a nation, and we need to protect what its was founded upon when the Constitution was written and put in to place in the United States it was extreem times just like now , it worked it did its job, Unless we are planning on giveing away the United States we need to stick to its Laws and Orders , or its not The United States anymore Its another nation, You got to mind your own home and keep your roof patched and gras cut and food on the table from the least to the greatest, and a fair balance between them , Unless we have plans to give our nation away to other nations, and let them come and set up and change our laws and set up new rule and say Now we will do it this way, and people that invest very large amounts in other nations should move to them nations and live, feed your home first and keep a fair balance to all.

Where have you anti-Paul people been? China has more rich people then we do.The number of rich has declined in the last 2 years faster than any other time in U.S. history. And your fellow Dems in Congress have seen to that.Obama is in bed with Big Pharma,General Electric,General Motors,Goldman Sachs and working to get in bed with Big Oil.Did you see where GM is ivesting 520 million in a plant in Mexico to build cheap parts with cheap labor and no complaints from UAW.We need a balanced budget. We need to eliminate the Dept. of Education,Dept. of Energy,NHTSA,EPA and the list goes on.If we just completely eliminated these useless departments we probably will save trillions and save Social Security and pay off our national debt within 10 years.Rand Paul is hope and change compared to those frauds in the Democrat Party.

You need to give Rand Paul changs to do what he says he will. you keep putting down the rich people and what they have. Let me ask you one thing if you need a job and you have a street person out here and you got Bill Gates on the other side witch one of them are you going to and ask them for a job I am sure you would not ask the street person for he would have the money to pay you asking Bill Gates would be the better person to ask and if you took his money then he would have the money to pay you then where would you go to for that job?
