LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Tea party activists will be in Lexington on Wednesday to encourage Kentuckians to vote on Nov. 6.
The "Tea Party Express" will park a bus that serves as a mobile phone bank outside of Best Buy on Nicholasville Road beginning at 10 a.m. EDT.
The mobile phone bank is part of a get-out-the-vote initiative that the GOP's tea party faction has undertaken in 23 states.
Local tea party activists will man the mobile phone bank to encourage non-voters in a push to register ahead of the general election. The bus is equipped with 15 workstations, each with its own laptop and phone.
