Republican gubernatorial candidate David Williams has raised more than $1.2 million for his primary election campaign, including $446,000 between Jan. 1 and April 15.
A fundraising report released by the campaign on Wednesday
showed $670,000 in the bank.
Williams campaign chairman Donald Storm said supporters are
sending a strong message that they want a governor who cares about
job creation and fiscal responsibility.
Williams faces Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw and
Louisville businessman Phil Moffett in the May 17 GOP primary.
Holsclaw filed a report with the Kentucky Registry of Election
Finance on Tuesday showing she has raised $22,000. Moffett hasn't
yet released fundraising totals, but is required to do so by the
end of the day Wednesday.
