UK coach Billy Gillispie says he expects sophomore guard Derrick Jasper will seek his release and transfer to another school. The coach made the comments during a morning news conference at Memorial Coliseum.

"I would expect he's going to transfer, but it hasn't been finalized yet," Gillispie said. The coach said Jasper was at home in California.

Gillispie also said center Morakinyo Williams has asked for and been given his release. "We're trying to help him and he's trying to help himself to find a place where he can ensure himself of little bit more playing time."
