LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police say the search for a missing teen armed with a gun has come to a peaceful end.

Police sent out an alert for missing 16-year-old Brayden Clay Murphy on Friday evening. Murphy went missing from his home on Wyndham Hills Drive shortly after 5 p.m.

Around 4:15 a.m. Saturday employees at the Ridge Psychiatric Hospital called police and said that Murphy was there and that he had a gun with him.

When police arrived they found Murphy asleep at the entrance of the building.

Police were able to retrieve the gun and take Murphy into custody without incident.
