Workers at the Campus Court apartment complex on Red Mile road are trying to get the project completed by the end of summer, but they're being met with setbacks thanks to thieves.

Project superintendent Harper Hogue says a microwave and several refrigerators and washer/dryer combinations were stolen this past weekend.

"It's not just the appliances getting stolen that kill us, it's damage to the units involved. It sets us back on schedule and tends to hurt production," Hogue says.

The apartment complex has also been targeted by thieves who stole copper from the site.

Hogue says he hasn't seen this much criminal activity at any of his other projects. He adds that it's picked up as the Campus Court development nears completion.

Probably some of the lowlifes that were let out of jail early. The only way to stop this is to take care of it yourself. The law does NOTHING!! These punks know that there are no consequences for their actions.
