A memorial honoring the 6 victims of Comair Flight 5191 who have ties to Madison County will soon be completed.

Its now being built at Lake Reba Park, in Richmond. The granite, memorial fountain, features an ascending column, with doves in flight.

Each of the birds represents one person killed during the crash. The monument will also feature each victim's name, and a memorial garden.

The concept for the memorial was created by an Eagle Scout, Brian Huybers. His plan is to have it finished in time for the 2 year anniversary of the tragedy, August 27.

Huybers says it's an honor to see his vision coming to life.
