MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say wet weather was a contributing factor in a wreck that happened at the 96 mile marker on I-75 South around 9:00 Sunday night.

Kentucky State Police tell us there was only one person in the car when the driver lost control, causing the car to slide off the road, flip upside down and landed in a nearby ditch.

Investigators are not sure if the driver was ejected from the car or if he was able to climb out himself.

We’re also told the victim was immediately transported to the hospital but at this point, police are not releasing the extent of his injuries. All lanes of traffic were open shortly after the accident.

Officers are not releasing the name of the victim involved in the crash.
