Obama holds Mideast talks

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama will hold separate meetings Wednesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

It's an effort to jump-start peace talks that have been stalled for almost two years. He'll also meet with King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt.

With Hurricane Earl bearing down on the U.S., the president will get an update on preparations from Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Craig Fugate.
