Workers at Rio's two airports declaring a twenty-four hour strike

RIO DE JANIERO, Brazil (FOX) - The protest comes on the eve of the first world cup soccer match.
unions representing check-in counter clerks, baggage handlers and janitorial staff voting to strike starting at midnight on Wednesday.
They had been demanding raises of at least 5.6% for several months.
The work stoppage affecting the city's Galeao International and Santos Dumont airports.
A union rep says only 20% of the workers would stay off the job for 24r hours,
abiding by a labor court order that threatened to fine unions more than US$22,000 dollars if staffing falls below eighty percent of the workers at Rio's two airports declaring a twenty-four hour strike.
