Prosecutor Calls Phil Spector 'Demonic Maniac'

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Closing arguments will continue today at the
retrial of music producer Phil Spector, accused in the shooting
death of actress Lana Clarkson.
A prosecutor has urged jurors to find Spector guilty of
second-degree murder, not the lesser possibility of involuntary
manslaughter.
In her closing argument, the prosecutor said Spector became "a
demonic maniac" when he drank and was "a very dangerous man"
around women.
Today, the defense attorney is expected to say Clarkson was a
down-on-her-luck actress who shot herself in despair over her
career.
The case could go to the jury tomorrow.
His first jury deadlocked 10-2 for conviction.
