Crew Scheduled to Return Today

WASHINGTON (AP) - This is homecoming day for the crew of the
Maersk Alabama.
A little more than a week after the pirate drama began, they're
scheduled come back to the U.S. The shipping company says they'll
be returning on a charter flight to Andrews Air Force Base near
Washington and reunited with their families in private.
The return comes 3 days after Navy SEALs shot and killed 3
pirates who were holding Captain Richard Phillips in a lifeboat off
Somalia.
The shipping line says Phillips won't fly home with the crew.
He'll be reunited with them back on U.S. soil.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates says there's no immediate need to
increase the military response to piracy on the high seas. But he
adds that could change depending on events.
