Swine Flu Now in Switzerland

UNDATED (AP) - Switzerland is the latest country to report a
case of swine flu infection.
The patient is a 19-year-old student who health officials said
was mistakenly released from a hospital and then hastily
readmitted.
The case surfaced as European Union health ministers planned
emergency talks in Luxembourg to coordinate national efforts in
preventing the spread of swine flu in Europe.
The World Health Organization has issued a Phase 5 alert
suggesting a worldwide pandemic could be imminent. In Mexico, the
government is shutting down nonessential businesses and government
services through May 5.
President Barack Obama is pledging "great vigilance" in
fighting the outbreak.
