South Korea says North Korea has held missile test

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - South Korea confirms that North Korea
has held another missile test.
A defense ministry official says the North fired two short-range
missiles from its eastern coast today. He didn't say what kind of
missiles they were, but a news agency reports they were
ground-to-air missiles.
South Korea's foreign minister has told The Associated Press
that the North's latest missile test is "not a good sign." He
says the North Koreans are "demonstrating their military power."
The test will only worsen tensions between the North and the
United Nations, which recently slapped sanctions on Pyongyang
(pyuhng-yahng) for its underground nuclear test in May, and for
earlier missile tests.
North Korea earlier called for a no-sail zone in waters off its
east coast through July 10 for military drills.
