Suspected US missile kills 10 militants in northwest Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (AP) - Two Pakistani intelligence officials say a
barrage of missiles believed fired from a U.S. unmanned plane has
destroyed a Taliban training camp in northwest Pakistan, killing at
least 10 insurgents.
The officials said six missiles struck a mountain top training
facility in the Karwan Manza area of South Waziristan before dawn
Wednesday.
South Waziristan is a stronghold of Pakistani Taliban leader
Baitullah Mehsud (BEH'-tuh-luh mah-SOOD').
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were
not authorized to speak to media.
Meanwhile, Pakistani police say a suicide bomber has struck in
the northwestern city of Peshawar. The bomber was the only
fatality, but three people were wounded.
