Mexico boosts police presence in troubled region

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexico has quadrupled the number of federal police in a western state that's home to a drug cartel known as La Familia. The move follows the killing of 20 officers and troops in a revenge attack after the arrest of the cartel's operations chief. The weekend attacks pose a blatant challenge to President Felipe Calderon's crackdown on the escalating drug trade.
