WASHINGTON (AP) - A key congressional committee resumes bipartisan talks on health care reform legislation today.
The six Senate Finance Committee members are holding a mid-recess conference call, as work continues on piecing together an overhaul package.
There are differing views on what can be accomplished. Committee Chairman Max Baucus says the panel is on track to reach a bipartisan agreement that can get through the senate.
But the committee's top Republican, Charles Grassley, isn't so sure. He says he has yet to see the kind of broad-based support something as big as health-care reform should have. Still, he says the effort to reach a deal should continue.
