MONTREAL (AP) - Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Haiti's prime minister are among international officials meeting in Montreal today to discuss relief efforts for Haiti.
Canada's foreign minister says officials will also talk about long-term reconstruction in the earthquake-ravaged nation.
Governments have pledged nearly $1 billion in aid to Haiti.
Meanwhile, Italy's foreign minister is distancing himself from harsh criticism of the U.S. Haitian relief effort by his country's top disaster official. He says the Italian disaster chief wasn't speaking in an official capacity when he called the U.S. military presence in Haiti inefficient and out of touch with reality on the ground.
