New blast hits Baghdad; at least 18 dead, scores wounded

BAGHDAD (AP) - Officials in Baghdad say most of those killed today in a bombing attack on a police crime lab were probably police officers who worked there.

At least 18 people died and dozens more were injured.

Today's attack follows a series of bombings targeting hotels favored by Westerners yesterday. Iraqi police and health officials have raised the death toll in those suicide attacks to 41. Up to 106 people were wounded.
