PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The Pennsylvania woman who called herself "Jihad Jane" in alleged efforts to help Islamic terrorists is due in court in Philadelphia.
Colleen LaRose has been in prison since her arrest last fall. A recent indictment accuses her of conspiring with several others to kill a Swedish artist who had offended Muslims. A hearing is scheduled for Thursday morning.
The 46-year-old LaRose is the rare American-born woman linked to a global terror scheme. Authorities say she thought her blonde American looks would help her elude suspicion.
LaRose was living in Pennsburg with a boyfriend and caring for his father before she fled for Europe in August.
Authorities have linked her to terror suspects arrested in Ireland last week.
Her public defenders have not commented on the charges.
