BP CEO to testify before Congress today

WASHINGTON (AP) - The CEO of BP has a grilling ahead today on Capitol Hill.

In prepared testimony, Tony Hayward says he's "deeply sorry" for the explosion and sinking of the BP-operated Deepwater Horizon rig. He says it never should have happened and he understands the anger Americans feel toward him and his company.

Hayward's testimony will be before the House Energy and Commerce Committee's oversight and investigations subcommittee, which is looking into the April 20 explosion and massive oil spill.
