Feds look past oil leaking from BP's cap

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The cap is leaking some oil and gas, but the government says it can stay on BP's blown out Gulf well another day.

Officials say the leak isn't significant. They're moving ahead with plans to permanently plug the well.

Ever since the cap was used to bottle up the oil last week, engineers have been watching underwater cameras and monitoring to see whether the well would hold or spring a new leak.
