At least 6 dead as bomb hits Afghan capital before talks on US deal

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - A suicide bomber killed at least six people in the Afghan capital and wounded more than 20 others.

Saturday's attack occurred near the site where thousands of elders are to gather next week to discuss a controversial security agreement with the United States.

The explosion came just hours following President Hamid Karzai' announcement that U.S. and Afghan negotiators finished a draft deal to be presented to the elders, who must approve the document before Afghanistan signs it.
