Honolulu police are looking for information about a child's fingers that were found last month in a trash bin at a low-income housing complex.
Police say a passerby found the fingers in a trash bin at the Kukui Gardens Housing Complex in Liliha on Feb. 12. KHON-TV reports the fingers were in a plastic bag.
Laboratory tests determined the fingers belong to a child.
Honolulu CrimeStoppers Sgt. Kim Buffet was unable to say how many fingers were found or how long they'd been in the trash.
Buffett tells KITV that the fingers belonged to a child who was 10 years old or younger.
Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 808-955-8300. A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect.
