CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand (AP) - A nighttime curfew is in effect in the New Zealand city of Christchurch. Much of that city of 350,000 people is in ruins after a powerful earthquake.
Hundreds of troops, police and emergency workers are still trying to find survivors, amid the danger that aftershocks could bring down more buildings.
Sniffer dogs and heat-seeking cameras are being poked between gaps in hopes of finding more survivors. They're being joined by search teams from Australia, Asia, Britain and the United States.
More than 100 people have been rescued and some bodies have been located but not recovered. At least 75 people have been killed.
