VAN, Turkey (AP) - Rescue teams are clawing through mounds of rubble in search of two journalists believed trapped under a collapsed hotel in Turkey where the death toll is now 22 from the second strong earthquake in about two weeks.
The Bayram Hotel is one of the two hotels that fell apart when the 5.7-magnitude quake hit the eastern city of Van late Wednesday.
Journalists and relief workers who had rushed to the region in the aftermath of a more powerful earthquake Oct. 23, became victims when the hotel, weakened by the earlier temblor, collapsed. The fatalities include a Japanese relief worker who had come to distribute aid to quake survivors.
It's not known how many people are still buried in the rubble of the two collapsed hotels.
The October quake killed more than 600 people.
