Grammy-award-winning folk musician Doc Watson has died at age 89.

Watson, who was blind since age one, is famous for his flat-picking style on the guitar and his interpretations of folk songs from bygone eras.
Watson has won seven Grammy awards, in addition to a Grammy for Lifetime Achievement he received in 2004.
