SALINAS, Calif. (AP) - A northern California producer supplier is voluntarily recalling romaine lettuce because of possible E.coli contamination.
Romaine lettuce shipped to 19 states, Puerto Rico and Canada may be contaminated with E. coli.
Tanimura & Antle says the recall is limited to its Field Fresh Wrapped Single Head Romaine lettuce that has the UPC number 0-27918-20314-9.
The lettuce was shipped to 19 states, Puerto Rico and Canada and has a "best by" date of Aug. 19th.
So far, no illnesses have been reported.
