More than 104,000 still without power in W.Va.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - More than 104,000 West Virginia homes and businesses remain without power in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

Friday morning's figure is down from more than 136,000 Thursday afternoon.

First Energy's website says more than 68,000 customers of Mon Power and Potomac Edison are without electricity. Appalachian Power says it has more than 36,000 outages.

Mon Power has not said when service to its customers might be restored. Appalachian Power has said some customers might remain without power until Sunday night.
