WASHINGTON (AP) - One focus of the upcoming NATO summit in Chicago will be Afghanistan, and, specifically, support for the Afghan military after the alliance pulls out.
The problem for the United States is how to avoid getting stuck with the check for $4.1 billion a year for 10 years.
That's partly why many non-NATO nations are getting invitations to the summit. More than 20 nations already have agreed to help.
