Obamas welcomed at Buckingham Palace

LONDON (AP) - Queen Elizabeth II has welcomed President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama in style to Buckingham Palace for their state visit to Britain - complete with a 41-gun salute.
Ranks of Scots Guards in red jackets and tall hats stood at attention as the queen walked out of the palace with the president, followed by Mrs. Obama and Prince Philip, and Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.
Then the guards played the Star-Spangled Banner in honor of the American president and his wife, as the Obamas stood with their hands on their hearts. The president joined Prince Philip in reviewing the troops.
Earlier, the Obamas had met privately in the palace with newlyweds Prince William and Kate Middleton.
