Romney targeted by rivals after NH win

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - One day after Mitt Romney's big win in the New Hampshire primary, he's coming under attack from his rivals as the focus of the Republican presidential contest shifts to South Carolina.

Newt Gingrich is painting Romney as a former venture capitalist whose deals cost people their jobs, while Rick Perry is defending his characterization of Romney as a "vulture capitalist."

In response, Romney says people want a president who has business experience. He said of his rivals, "They tried the same line here in New Hampshire and it fell extremely flat."

Gingrich has had disappointing finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire but made clear today that he isn't going down without a fight.

He also played up his regional ties, saying "It's good to be home in the South."
